too many new programs to learn?

Every school seems to have it's own grading program, social networking program, web site development program and of course - different versions of software for word processing, spreadsheets and what all depending on how old the computers are in your building compared with whatever you may have at home.

How do you manage?  Do you have good support while you learn all these new programs or do you feel you are in a sink or swim world?

How can we help?

Our district does a good job initially. What happens next is a toss up. If enough people continue to use the programs the district continues to have inservice on them. If only a few poeple use the programs no inservice and you're on your own. The district really tries hard to maintain what they consider necessary programs and if you use one of those obscur programs long enough, you're the expert/trainer when they ask. The key to happiness is to find what you like and do your best.
