This Welcome letter gives a broad overview of a few Thinkfinity Community features to help new members get started. We recommend all members read our Community Conduct Guidelines and our Community Promotions Policy .
Once you are a member of Verizon Thinkfinity Community you can Log in with your username and password to
- exchange ideas about education and technology
- save and organize your resources
- personalize your community view
and so much more.
1. How To Exchange Ideas About Education and Technology
What you can do:
- Learn from and participate in discussions with others
- Connect and network with friends, colleagues, peers, and experts
- Create or follow groups that reflect your interests
How to start:
- Select Browse All and choose Communities, Groups, or People on the gold navigation bar
- Follow Communities, join groups, or friend People
For Communities and Groups:
- Choose a Community or Group that interests you
- Explore the conversations
- In a community, you may select Follow this space in the Notifications menu
- In a group, you may select Join this group in the Actions menu
For People:
- Search for people you know using the search filters
- You may select a person, and choose Add <person's name> as a friend

What you can do:
- Save and tag your "Favorite Resources" so they are all in one place, accessible from any computer
- Update your profile
- Connect with, add, and invite friends
- View your Private Messages and Notifications
- Edit your General Preferences and Email Notification Preferences
How to start:
- Select My Stuff from the gold navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Use the tabs select the information you want to see.
- Use the links in the Actions box at the right side of each page to add information and manage your stuff.

3. How To Personalize Your Community View
What you can do:
- Design your "My Community View" page so you see the information you want at a glance
- Use your "My Community View" page as your personalized homepage when you enter the community
How to start:
- Select Communities > My Community View from the gold navigation bar
- Select the blue Edit link just below the gold bar Note: This link will change to a blue customize link for future changes you may wish to make.
- In the light blue customization menu, select a Layout configuration
- Select a Widget category, and then select a widget from the list
- Drag and drop the green “Drag to Add” button into the layout below. Note: You must drag the button into an area surrounded by dotted lines. A light green background will appear where the widget will go.
- On any widget, select the small gray arrow at the top right corner of the widget to Edit, Delete, or Minimize the widget.
- Select Publish Layout.
- Experiment with your layout until it is exactly the way you want, knowing that you can change it at any time.
